Today I decided after months of humming different riffs and thinking about making music, to actually try and produce some. Under the alias Atrophié (an inside joke about me having "withered programmers arms") I will attempt within a year to learn how to use Reason 4, and produce a track that gets at least one sale on Beatport. I know nothing about music, apart from how to mix Tech House, DnB and Techno. This should be insteresting!
Up to about hour 8 or 9 playing with Reason now, I got hold of a few drum samples from the freesound project and had a play around with some of the synths in an attempt to make a progressive housey sounding tune. I ended up making a dubstepy tune with some floaty synth, my first 2minute tune "Progstep" was born. More details in the next post.
